Hong Isaac’s EP album 〈Castle in The Air〉 was released on April 23, 2026.
The project consists of five tracks that unfold as one continuous storyline, rather than being independent songs without connection.

Each track carries its own message, yet together they form a cohesive narrative — a journey of self-reflection, vulnerability, growth, and quiet hope.
The Beginning: An Imperfect Piece
This album begins with the idea of being incomplete.
We are not perfect.
We cannot accomplish everything flawlessly.
Like a single puzzle piece, we may seem small and unfinished on our own.
Yet the album suggests that when those imperfect pieces come together, they form something beautiful and complete.
The opening track, “Puzzle,” embodies this mindset.
It is a confession of accepting oneself —
recognizing that even in imperfection, we hold meaning and value.
“Doesn't Matter” – The Courage to Face Reality
The title track, “Doesn't Matter,” expresses the determination to no longer live in passivity or emotional stagnation.
It carries the will to face reality honestly rather than avoid it.
With its bright and rhythmic sound, the song gradually replaces heaviness with movement.
The mood shifts from resignation to renewed desire and hope.
This track feels less like simple comfort and more like a quiet decision:
“I will start again — even if things are not perfect.”
“Castle” – Inner Prayer and Reflection
The third track, “Castle,” reveals the deepest inner world of the album.
Standing before a massive wall, the only thing one can do is pray.
The song begins like a small inner monologue,
but it gradually expands into a powerful and resonant declaration.
Hong Isaac’s dynamic vocals shine especially in this track.
His voice carries strong emotional depth and resonance,
filling the space with sound that feels almost physical —
as if it vibrates directly in the listener’s heart.

“Scarecrow” – Reflection on What Is Fading
The fourth track, “Scarecrow,” expresses mourning for things that are disappearing and a moment of self-examination.
Like a farm owner who installs a scarecrow but neglects the field itself,
the song asks whether we have focused on appearances while missing what truly matters.
It is not merely emotional expression,
but a sincere moment of introspection and awareness.
“Leaning on Me” – The Power of Presence
“Leaning on Me” speaks about standing beside someone in loneliness.
Sometimes the greatest action we can take is not to solve everything,
but simply to remain —
to walk together.
Holding a cold hand.
Becoming warmth.
Offering quiet companionship.
It is a humble yet deeply meaningful expression of support.
The Title Track: “Castle”
The meaning of Castle in The Air literally refers to a “castle in the sky,” which usually describes an unrealistic dream or an ideal that is difficult to achieve.
However, in this album, the meaning does not seem to carry a negative tone.
Instead, it feels like the story of
▶ imperfect human beings
▶ hearts that continue to dream within reality
▶ and the space between ideals and everyday life.
Standing before a vast “Castle,”
we may feel like small puzzle pieces living inside something much greater.
In that place, perhaps the only thing we can truly do
is to pray
and to hold on to Him alone.
This song resonates deeply with Christians,
carrying both inner struggle and firm conviction,
along with a powerful cry of faith.
My lonely heart keeps filling with tears
Swallowing them one by one, will I collapse now?
That high castle standing in front of me
Will it disappear when the dream breaks? Will I be abandoned?
Is this a story I cannot win?
who knows how far
I try to endure in the darkness
Holding on to you until the very end, I
I look to you, I will not abandon you
You are at the beginning and the end of all I am
The one who will embrace me in the unknown
The one and only name
I look to you, seeking us
Trying to reach the end of this life
Even when I open my eyes, I am still wandering
I’m rigged in this maze
Inside this disguise, I’m trapped in this maze
my castle in the air
A story that cannot be reversed
who knows how far
I try to endure in the darkness
Holding on to you until the very end, I
I look to you, I will not abandon you
You are at the beginning and the end of all I am
The one who will embrace me in the unknown
The one and only name
I look to you, I will not let you go
Trying to reach the end of this life
Let all the apologies remain unspoken.
The song talks about feeling tired, unsure of yourself, and emotionally drained.
It also shows the wish to be supported, comforted, or taken somewhere safe.
It reflects:
- Feeling like everything is your responsibility
- Feeling emotionally numb
- Looking for comfort in a busy and noisy world
- Wanting to be brought to a safe place
Even though the song shows vulnerability, it shares an important truth:
We all need warmth and support.
The chorus feels like letting go and trusting —
wanting to be held, guided, or even carried.
Sometimes, just getting through the day is enough.
The Emotional Ending
The ending of the album leaves a strong and lasting feeling.
The final moments do not disappear quickly;
they stay in the heart like a quiet echo.
The album talks about:
- Being imperfect pieces
- Facing reality with courage
- Praying when things feel overwhelming
- Feeling sadness for what is fading away
- Standing next to people who feel lonely
It values being real more than being perfect,
the journey more than the result,
and honesty more than strength.
Like the sound of the last song that stays in your mind,
these songs can remain in our daily lives —
bringing gentle comfort and quiet courage.
In the end, we may still be separate puzzle pieces.
But maybe, by connecting with each other,
we slowly become whole.
