[ERROR] is the first solo album released by AKMU’s Lee Chanhyuk in 2022.
His first full-length solo album, [ERROR], isn’t just music—it’s a piece of art, a philosophical confession, and a spiritual journey.

“If I were to die tomorrow, what kind of song would I want to leave behind?”
LEE CHANHYUK asked himself this question—and answered it through [ERROR].

1. What is [ERROR]?

Composed of 11 tracks, [ERROR] is a concept album centered around the theme of death.
It begins with testimonies from witnesses of an accident, followed by sounds of an ambulance, a hospital, moments of regret, longing, and finally a glimpse into heaven and one’s own funeral.

Each song is infused with LEE CHANHYUK’s Christian worldview—not in the form of traditional gospel or CCM, but through a refined, poetic lens of K-pop storytelling.

2.  A Journey Between Life and Death

●The Accident Begins – ‘Eyewitness Testimony’, ‘Siren’

The album opens with a chilling narrative—an accident seen through the eyes of bystanders.
Then comes the urgent sound of sirens, transporting us to a moment suspended between life and death.

Title Track ‘Panorama’ – Seeing Life Anew

'Panorama' captures the moment just after waking up from a near-death experience.

“I thought I was okay with dying, but when I opened my eyes, I thought, ‘What is this?’”
He is reborn with a new perspective—free from self-deception.
Its contrast between melancholic lyrics and bright melodies delivers a powerful emotional impact.

Regret in Love – ‘If I Don’t See You Now’, ‘Last Farewell (with CHUNG HA)’

As death approaches, regrets surface.
The first person that comes to mind—the one you wish you had told everything.
‘Last Farewell’, featuring CHUNG HA, is a heartbreaking duet filled with raw, emotional sincerity.

Facing Himself – ‘What’, ‘Missed Calls’, ‘Castle of My Dreams’

Here, CHANHYUK reflects on his values, fame, and his relationship with his parents.
In ‘Castle of My Dreams’, he confesses:

“I wanted to become a king.”
Only at the edge of death does he face his deepest desires honestly.

The Final Question – ‘A DAY’, ‘Funeral Hope’

‘A DAY’ flips the question back to us:

“How would you spend your final day on Earth?”

The final track, ‘Funeral Hope’, turns death into a moment of celebration.
He imagines befriending a lion in heaven—depicting a place too beautiful for words.
The chorus opens with “Hallelujah”, but make no mistake—this isn’t a gospel track.
This is LEE CHANHYUK’s own song, his own heaven.

3. Who is LEE CHANHYUK?

Debuting in 2014 as one-half of AKMU (Akdong Musician), LEE CHANHYUK quickly became known for his genius songwriting and deep, philosophical lyrics.
With numerous hits under his belt, [ERROR] marks a new chapter—revealing the true self behind the artist.

4. A Genre-Bending Experiment

From retro to R&B, EDM, ballads, and gospel-inspired melodies—[ERROR] flows seamlessly across genres.
Every track feels different, but the message stays consistent.
That’s the CHANHYUK signature: unity in diversity, story in sound.

[ERROR] is more than just LEE CHANHYUK’s solo debut.
It’s a raw, honest confession about regret, love, faith, and ultimately—life.
Standing at the threshold between life and death, CHANHYUK shows us what truly remains in the end:

Love and hope.
